Mr Samuel Payne, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on voters to vote based on their conscience and refuse to be swayed by lies and propaganda.
Addressing separate political rallies at Kokobriko, Apinkra, Nnuaso and Yaase/Adwafo in the Bosomtwe Constituency, he urged the people to ignore, what he said was the mischief and desperate attempt by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to discredit the free Senior High School (SHS) policy promised by his party.
“
It is not something that cannot be done. It is just about getting the government’s priorities right.”
Mr Payne said the NPP would invest in education development because it held the key to the nation’s progress.
He said a Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo led-government would revive the pro-poor safety nets introduced by the Kufuor Administration that were collapsing under the NDC.
He called on the party’s supporters to remain vigilant to prevent electoral fraud and cheating.
Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, the Member of Parliament (MP), asked the people to vote out the NDC, since it lacked ideas to change the economic fortunes of the nation.
“They simply have nothing new to offer and are undeserving of another mandate.”
He pledged a revisit of the payment of all suspicious judgment debts if the NPP is voted to power, to recover all monies dubiously doled out to cronies.
