The flagbearer of the People's National Convention, Hassan Ayariga is promising what he describes as a youth revolution that will hand power to young Ghanaians.
He blames the slow pace of development since independence on the failure over the years to actively develop and tap the potential of the youth in the country.
Mr. Ayariga was addressing a rally in the Upper West region to officially launch the parliamentary bid of the party’s General Secretary, Bernard Monah for the Wa Central seat.
“Over the years, we have had leaders and elders managing this economy their own way. We are here today to tell you that leadership must change and if leadership must change, we must know the direction in which we want to go.
“The youth must and are willing to take the leadership of this country. This country must develop and this country must move forward…We must give power to the youth.”
On his part, Bernard Mornah blamed the under development of the area on previous MPs who he says failed to lobby governments over the years.
