The Upper West Regional secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed shock and disbelief about the death of the former vice president, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
In a statement issued in Wa and signed by the Regional Secretary of the party, Eric Dakurah the party members in the region extend their condolences to the family of the late vice president and the country a whole.
"The late vice president until his demise was a known seasoned politician, father and business man. Many were mentored by him and we hope and pray that God through the intercessional prayers would grant him a peaceful eternal rest".
The statement called on all Ghanaians to uphold all the good virtues of the late vice president of the Republic.
The statement also commended President John Dramaani Mahama for the display of patriotism, unity and above all humility.
