Hassan Yenus, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Party, (NDP) said on Monday that he hopes to see Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) win the presidential race on December 7th.
Yenus noted that although his party shares its ideologies with the governing National Democratic Congress, (NDC) that party has failed to deliver on its 2008 campaign promises. Therefore, he said, Nana Akufo-Addo is the best presidential candidate this election season.
The NDP has put up candidates for 170 out of the 275 parliamentary seats in the country.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani, Yenus said that the party was vigorously campaigning for its parliamentary candidates throughout the country and was optimistic that they would win most of the seats.
He appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the party’s parliamentary candidates and asked party supporters to refrain from campaign insults and electoral violence before, during and after the elections.
