Oxford University has categorically stated that NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo was not expelled from the institution after he enrolled in the 1962/63 academic year. The information was contained in a letter responding to requests that the University explain the circumstances under which the Nana Akufo-Addo left the institution. The letter, penned by Oxford University Registrar Professor Ewan McKendrick, declined to comment further on the NPP flagbearer's departure from the institution because, “I do not believe that the disclosure of the course he followed at Oxford is necessary to satisfy that public interest”.Click to read the statement from Oxford University.
