The Ghana Grid Company says there is a disturbance on its transmission network that has resulted in electricity outages in parts of Accra.
A statement issued on Monday gave no details about the extent of disturbance or when consumers are to expect a regular supply of electricity.
Attempts by Joy News to get officials of the Company to comment on the matter have failed.
But consumers are incensed about the unannounced outages.
According to the residents in and around Pokuase, Odorkor, Kuntunse the situation is unbearable.
Some of them told Joy News they endure more darkness in a week than enjoy the electricity they have paid for.
“Almost every single day and what makes me feel it is not a fault is that over the weekends, you will have light but as soon as it is Monday Tuesday Wednesday to Friday the light will go off by all means.
“If you are not lucky it will come on around six or seven,” a resident in one of the communities in the affected area shared her ordeal with the power outages.
