The draw for the 27th edition of the Afrobasket was made Saturday in Abidjan.
Côte d’Ivoire, the host country will play in Group A alongside Egypt, Senegal and Algeria. The opening match of the competition therefore is pitting the Elephants to Algeria.
The draw
Group A: Ivory Coast – Egypt – Senegal – Algeria
Group B: Tunisia-Rwanda-Burkina Faso-Morocco
Group C: Angola – Central Africa – Mozambique-Cape Verde
Group D: Nigeria – Cameroon – Congo – Mali
The 27th edition will be held from 17 to 28 August involving 16 nations.
