The Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) will from May 13 - 14 hold a special amateur boxing tournament at the Bukom Square in Accra.
The tournament, which is in collaboration with the United Boxing Coaches Association of Ghana will see all boxing clubs in the Region participating.
A statement signed by Abraham Neequaye, Chairman of GAABA copied to GNA Sports said boxers from the participating clubs are to attend the weigh-in ceremony on Friday, May 13.
It said the tournament will be attended by Worlanyo Agrah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council, The Minister of Youth and Sports, the Greater Accra Regional Sports Development Officer, Sackey Acquaye, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Armah Ashietey, Chairman of the Ghana Amateur Boxing Association, (GABA) Ray Quarcoo and Gideon Quartey, former chairman of GAABA.
Also in attendance will be Professor Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey, Alfred Kotey, Joseph Agbeko and Joshua Clottey.
Energy House Ghana Limited, the Chef/Restaurant and Vita-Milk are the sponsors of the event.
