Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong is confident being adjudged Best defender of the 2015/16 season.
The defender is in tight category together with Heart’s Inusuah Musah and Dreams’ Abdul Bashiru but is unperturbed and determined to collect the individual accolade.
''Inusah and Bashiru were outstanding for their respective clubs last season but I believe per my performance last season, I deserve this accolade. As a defender I scored eight goals and some assists. I think this should be enough to make me the winner in this contest. With God on my side, I will win,'' Frimpong is quoted as saying.
Amos finished the season as best scoring defender with as many as seven goals.
The Premier League Board (PLB) awards will come off on Friday at the Banquet Hall of State House in Accra.
