Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah believes his side will have the necessary fitness to begin their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations campaign on the front foot after a good start to their preparations.
The Black Stars completed a grueling fifth training session in Abu Dhabi on Monday night in preparation for this month's tournament in South Africa.
Every member of the 24-man squad has been involved in the fitness sessions and tactical work since Ghana started preparations in the Gulf region on Saturday.
Appiah is happy with his players' application to the tasking session during training.
"I am very happy with how all the players have trained since we arrived here on Saturday morning," coach Appiah told www.ghanafa.org.
"Training has been tough but very good for the players as I want to achieve some fitness level before we depart to South Africa."
Ghana will continue with their training for the next eight days which includes two friendly matches against Egypt and Tunisia in Abu Dhabi before departing to South Africa for the tournament.
