Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has stated that there is no problem between goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey and goalkeeper’s trainer Nasam Yakubu.
Kwarasey is returning to the team for the first time since the 2014 World Cup, where he criticized Nasam Yakubu and decided to take a self-imposed international break.
Many are of the view that the two will not get along following what happened after the 2014 World Cup.
But Asamoah Gyan in an exclusive interview with Joy Sports noted that Kwarasey and Nasam are at peace and there is nothing to worry about.
“I don’t think they have any issue, sometimes people outside see it in a different way but I don’t think they have any issue,” he told Joy Sports
“When someone feels he or she must say something the person is free to do so because we are in a freedom of speech country so Kwarasey felt what he saw and he said it but not withstanding there is no issue.
“Despite everything Kwarasey is a great goalkeeper, young lad doing so well at his club and we were expecting him for about a year and now we have him so we are very happy to see him.”
Kwarasey joined the Stars in their first training session on Monday which had 13 other players.
