Prosper Narteh Ogum has successfully undergone a surgery following a brief illness, Asante Kotoko has announced on Wednesday.
Although the club did not specify the nature of the illness that required the surgery, they confirmed that the procedure was successful.
Ogum is now focusing on regaining full fitness ahead of the next season.
"Our head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has undergone a successful surgery after a short illness. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to having him back soon".

Ogum, who is also part of the club’s Interim Management Committee, is spearheading the restructuring of the playing squad.
The club has released 19 players, including goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad and striker Steven Mukwala, following the conclusion of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
“We need to implement several structural changes in the playing body with regard to signing players to strengthen the squad. This time, we are targeting players who have experience in the Premier League, not just those from lower divisions,” the 46-year-old said in a recent interview with the club’s media.
“We need to act swiftly to ensure we secure the players we want as quickly as possible,” he added.
Kotoko finished last season without a trophy, placing sixth in the Ghana Premier League.
Prosper Narteh Ogum is expected to recover in time to lead the team for their upcoming Democracy Cup game against Hearts of Oak next month.
