The Ghana Football Association has secured the services of National Under-17 head coach Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum on a two-year contract.
Ogum, who assumed office from Frimpong Manso, guided the team to qualification for the 2026 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for April.
His permanent appointment is designed to "provide the time, space and institutional backing required" to build a formidable squad.
Dr. Ogum has expressed his gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and outlined his vision for the team.
"I am grateful to the Ghana Football Association for the trust and stability this contract provides," Prosper told Ghana FA.
"Our focus is clear, to build a technically sound, tactically disciplined and mentally strong team that can compete at the highest level in Africa. We are not just preparing for a tournament, we are building a foundation for the future of Ghana football."
The continental showpiece is set to kick-off in April.
In addition to his national team role, Dr. Ogum serves as the GFA’s Head of Education.
He led Asante Kotoko SC to the Ghana Premier League title in 2022 and previously guided WAFA to a second-place league finish.
His experience also includes managerial duties at Ebusua Dwarfs and a stint as assistant coach of the Black Galaxies, further strengthening his national team credentials.
