The Osu Police have debunked speculations that one of the suspects involved in the recent violence at a night pub at Osu has escaped arrest.
Four people including the son of business magnate, Alhaji Asoma Banda, are being investigated for their involvement in the incident about two weeks ago. Sibik Banda was severely beaten for allegedly pulling a knife on one of the four.
Last week Monday the police promised to effect the arrest of the suspects but none has been picked up yet raising suspicions that the police are lax on the case.
Some of the complainants are now speculating that Sibik Banda has been flown out of the country for medical treatment.
But Superintended Yaw Tettegah, Labadi Police Divisional Commander who acts for the Osu Division told Joy News this cannot happen without an official notification.
“I spoke to the mother and asked that Sibik should be produced and she informed or assured me that they will come to the police station,” he explained.
He said Sibik and the complainants were all given medical forms to go to the hospital as a result of the severe injuries they had sustained and are expected to report to the police by close of day today.
He indicated that no one has been charged yet as the Police are still investigating the matter.
