Assistant Headmaster of Odorgonor Senior High School is being held by police for allegedly raping an American lady posted there as a volunteer teacher.
51-year old Lawrence Korle Kotey reportedly dragged the lady into the washroom in his office and forcibly had sex with her.
Even before results of a DNA test run on the sperm-stained pants of the lady are made known, police say Mr. Kortey has confessed to having an affair with her on that day but that is was with her consent.
The 37-year old American teacher who reported the matter to the Domestic Violence Victims Support Unit is said to be traumatized.
According to the Public Relations Officer of DOVVSU Irene Oppong, the suspect has been remanded in prison custody as the unit conducts further investigations into the matter.
