The Audit Service of Ghana on Wednesday routed their counterparts from the Accountant General's Department 9-0 in a special friendly match at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra, as part of activities making their centenary celebrations.
The Audit team started the rout early in the game and completed the first half with five goals, sealing the demolition exercise with four more goals in the second half.
Seth Tawiah was hand to score five goals with Kwame Sintim going on the scoring sheet twice, whilst Francis Lartey and Charles Annan scored one each to complete the day and to go home with the first trophy.
The match, which forms part of activities for the celebration, saw two newly promoted sides to the premiership side, Tudu Mighty Jets and Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs also playing in another friendly match.
Dwarfs proved their mettle with a 2-1 victory over Mighty Jets to lift the second trophy of the day.
Prior to the start of the match, the acting Head of Audit Service, Raphael Quartey conducted the opening ceremony with a kick off.
The match was sponsored by Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority (GPHA), Ghana Shippers Authority (GPA), UT Bank and Cowbell Ghana Limited.
