Reverend David Yalley, Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Emmanuel Methodist Church at Atonsu in the Kumasi metropolis, has urged Ghanaians to stand against indiscipline, bribery and corruption, nepotism and other negative practices that impeded development.
He said the development of the country demanded the collective responsibility of individuals to contribute their quota to complement government's efforts.
Rev Yalley was preaching at the Emmanuel Methodist Church in Kumasi as part of activities to celebrate Ghana@50.
He praised the founding fathers for their good works, initiative and foresight in the attainment of independence and asked Ghanaians to build on the good foundations laid by the great past leaders.
Rev Yalley stressed the need for the people to use the anniversary for reconciliation and unity as one people, one nation with a common destiny.
