The Majority Leader Alban Bagbin says he never took a partner to the Holy Trinity Spa and Resort as alleged by the Chief Executive of the spa, Dr Felix Anyah.
Dr Anyah alleged Mr Bagbin, who was a guest of the spa during a recent workshop for MPs, demanded special services for his “special guest.”
According to the doctor, the guest was not part of the programme, had no booking and was not known by organizers of the workshop.
But the Majority Leader has denied ever making any such request and says staff of the spa misinformed their boss.
Mr Bagbin told Joy News’ Araba Koomson on Monday that the owner of the resort had called him to say that he (Dr Anyah) was misinformed.
“Dr Felix Anyah spoke to me and said that he’s been misinformed and he wanted us to stop the exchanges,” he said, adding, “I was very surprised because I had no special guest and I did not make any special order.”
The Majority said the only time he made a “special order was the time of eating” when he demanded that he should be served in his room.
“I take my lunch between 3:00 and 3:30 [pm] because I don’t eat supper. So I pleaded with them to reserve the food and to serve me in my room but I had no special guest.”
