Chief Executive of Barclays Africa Regional Management, Mizinga Melu, has arrived in Ghana on a two-day working visit.
As part of her visit, Mrs. Melu will engage key government stakeholders, the regulator, customers and clients to discuss how Barclays can continue to support their activities. In addition, she will hold strategic meetings with the Board of Directors and the Country Management Committee of Barclays Bank Ghana.
While here, Mrs. Melu will participate in the unveiling ceremony of the new flagship Barclays branch at Osu, which has a 24-hour self-service banking zone, a Prestige Centre and Premier lounge for private banking customers.
Ghana remains a key focus for the Barclays Africa Group and the bank will continue to invest in Ghana in a manner that will inure to the benefit of all its stakeholders:
“Our goal is to become the ‘Go-To’ bank for our customers and clients across the continent and we are reaffirming this through our product and service innovations as well as deployment of cutting-edge technology to give customers a superior banking experience”.
Mrs. Melu noted that despite the current economic challenges, there has been a lot of great news about Ghana, which presents growth opportunities not only for the people of Ghana but also for businesses and the greater continent:

Commenting on the visit, Mrs. Patience Akyianu, Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana said the presence of the Barclays Africa Regional Management executives demonstrates the confidence the Group has in the franchise in Ghana as well as their commitment to continue driving innovations that present unique value proposition for our customers.
