Representatives of Cape Coast Technical University, Baaba, Ofori, and Andy shed tears as they painfully exited the competition in episode 9.
The contestants of the biggest cooking reality show in Ghana, Big Chef Tertiary, shook the kitchen again with amazing meals to hopefully escape eviction and emerge as the star school of the day.

The usual process of judges placing ingredients in the mystery basket for participants to cook a specific meal was eliminated in this episode.

The 15 contestants were given money to explore the market on their own for ingredients to prepare their meals. This was to test their management skills as well as their ability to work as a team. Chef Sam and Chef Tracy, together with the guest judge, Chef Peter, tasked the contestants to prepare any authentic local Ghanaian dish of their choice.

Peter Abovi, National Secretary of the Chefs Association of Ghana who was a guest judge on the show, encouraged the candidates to garnish their native food to appeal to both Ghanaians and those from other continents.
"I just want to be wowed and see something that is beyond my imagination. I want to see them play with our local dishes, presenting them in a modern way so that they are appealing to people from other continents. That is my expectation," he said.

The heat in the kitchen turned all the way up as all five teams were given 60 minutes to whip up their meals to impress the judges and escape eviction.
All activities in the kitchen came to a standstill as judges instructed contestants to stop work and present their meals.
At the end of the episode, Ho Technical University wowed the judges again with their meal. The judges loved their meal so much that they decided to crown them the star school of the day, making them the only school to win this title four times this season.

Representatives of Cape Coast Technical University, Baaba, Andy, and Ofori, shed tears as their journey on the show came to an end. They said goodbye to the remaining four teams after nine weeks of back-to-back competition against each other.
Chef Peter applauded all the contestants for displaying amazing culinary skills in the kitchen. He also encouraged representatives not to see their eviction as a failure. Instead, he advised them to carry on the good work, learn new skills, and better themselves for more opportunities.
