The football association will announce the sacking of Goran Stevanovic as Black Stars Coach within 24 hours after a meeting with his lawyer today.
The Football Association has already communicated its decision to relieve Goran of his duties with 10 months left on his two year contract.
The FA appeared to have stalled on a decision regarding the future of Stevanovic but JOY Sports understands the body resolved to dismiss the Serbian two weeks ago and would make that public within 24 hours.
Goran Stevanovic’s lawyer flew to Ghana last Saturday to hold talks with the FA on a compensation package following the severance of the relationship.
Stevanovic had a very short meeting with a 6 member committee formed by President Kwasi Nyantakyi, led by his vice Jordan Anagblah last Friday.
The meeting was so short; much to the amazement of the Coach who was told his services are no longer needed and the 45 year old’s response was to call in his lawyer to lead the discussion about his compensation.
The decision to let the coach go is said to have divided opinions at the level of the executive committee of the football association.
Dissenting voices clamouring for Goran to stay have been overshadowed by many more who believe the Serbian has not done enough to be maintained.
A technical report by the technical committee of the FA is alleged to have condemned the Coaches technical and tactical ability to continue in his job and that surprises ace sports journalist Kwabena Yeboah who was on the JOY Sports Link last Saturday.
He disagreed the coach was that inept and incompetent.
Kwabena Yeboah is not sure the decision to dismiss Goran Stevanovic is the best.
JOY Sports sources have revealed the Football Association has already begun the process of finding Goran Stevanovic’s successor which will be through head hunting to save time ahead of the Black Stars round of world cup qualifiers in 11 weeks time.
