Assistant Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu says the unique formula to get the Black Stars going at the Afcon finals is to do away with complacency.Ghana, tops the Group B standings with four points from their opening two matches ahead of their final group game against Niger on Monday.But Konadu says the turn around in fortune cannot be a precursor to taking things for granted as he warns of tough challenges ahead.“Complacency is one thing that affects a team if you don’t carefully deal with it,” Konadu said on Friday in Port Elizabeth.“It can get into your system and somewhere along the line, cause problems for you. And I think that is what affected [DR] Congo [who drew goalless with Niger].“Our psychologist is doing his best to help us get rid of that. If we are able to deal with that, I think the boys will be on top of their game and go on win for us.”The Black Stars recovered from a 2-2 draw in their first game in Port Elizabeth against DR Congo, but have since bounced back after beating Mali 1-0 on Thursday to jump top in the group.Despite the sudden upturn in form and result, Konadu still insist that the team is no where near their best.“I don’t think we’ve played our best game yet. We think the boys can still improve,” he said.“There’s more room for improvement. What you’re seeing is good but it’s not the best from us. We just hope that we will get the best out of the boys in due course.”
