Joy News has learnt that the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) officials are questioning Mr. Herbert Mensah over his claims that he has evidence to prove President Mills is planning to spend 90 million cedis of state funds on his flagbearership campaign.
The president has denied the allegations and has asked security officials to investigate it.
Sources say Mr. Mensah was invited for questioning in connection with the claims after he returned from Ethiopia where he has been with former President Rawlings since making the allegations.
Herbert Mensah told sister station Adom FM he has tape recordings of the plan to steal state money.
Ahead of the BNI’s invitation to Herbert, the host of ADOM FM’s morning show, Adakabre Frimpong-Manso said the security officials have been trying to get him to produce the tape.
