Contractors at the Bui Power Authority are racing against time in order to meet a 2013 deadline for full scale power generation to begin.On-going works have been affected by shortage of funding from the Chinese partners.The situation has heightened concerns that the target of the project to augment Ghana energy supply will be missed.But Chief Executive Officer Jabesh Amissah-Arthur has played down such fears.He told Joy News only a natural disaster may cause the project to delay.Meanwhile, farmers whose crops were destroyed during the construction of the dam have been promised their compensation package will soon be paid.
