The 2001 Year Group of the Old Achimota Association on Saturday 13th June 2015 donated items worth GHC 5,000 to the boys and girls of the Christian Faith Orphanage located at Frafraha in Accra.
In light of their activities for the year, year group felt duty-bound to demonstrate unity and offer support to their local community.
President of the year group, Nana Addo Obuobi in presenting the items noted that, “as part of year group’s plans for the year, it was important for us to validate our social responsibility and make an effort to support our community”.

The caretaker Madam Henrietta Asare-Agyeman who was very grateful thanked the group for their act of generosity, received the items. She appealed to the group to often visit their home to encourage their kids whilst appealing to other groups to emulate this kind gesture.
This donation is the first of many which the OAA 2001 year group has decided to institute and dubbed ‘The Smile Project’.
The project is aimed at mentoring young people, giving them that buddy to motivate and encourage positive personal development.
