Dance sensation Dancegod Lloyd has narrated how he landed a role in the 'Black Is King' video which features Beyoncé and Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall act Shatta Wale.
Speaking on Joy FM's Drivetime show, he told host Lexis Bill how their participation in a viral video challenge caught the attention of the multiple Grammy Award winner.
"It was a freestyle for the 'Already' video challenge on social media and I joined, everyone loved it and my video happened to be one of the few videos Beyoncé put on her story on Instagram.
"Almost everyone I know sent it to me and that gave me a certain feel that Lloyd I stood the chance of meeting Beyonce," he narrated.
He stated that Beyoncé's post was followed by a message from the singer's choreographer announcing his team's approval for us to appear in the project.
A dance routine was then sent by Beyonce's team to be performed by a Ghanaian aiding him and his team on the expected dance patterns which was going to be required for the video.
"Since it has always been our purpose in life, all we needed was just a night to rehearse the routine sent us and we nailed it in the original shoot," he revealed.
Dancegod Lloyd is the co-founder of the DWP Academy, an institution created to help improve and shape dance talents in youth across the country.
He got featured on CNN after Beyonce posted a picture of him dancing to her song on her Instagram page.
