Dreams FC were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Wa All Stars on match day four of the ongoing Ghana Premier League on Saturday at the Dawu Park.
Both sides went into the game tied on 7 points from three games and they made their intensions very clear as they attacked each other in the opening 15 minutes.
But it was the home side who looked deadly and they struck the first goal from close range through Emmanuel Lomotey. Dreams FC came close to doubling their lead a few minutes later but Lawson Bekui failed to latch onto Lomotey’s side footed pass.
Wa All Stars kept their composure and with 10 minutes before the break, Walidu Mumuni pulled even for the visitors with an exquisitely taken 23 yards free-kick.
The Kweiman based club from the recess threw a lot of men forward in search for their second goal but they fluffed the chances they created.
Richard Ofori in post for the away side was on top of his game as he produced one of the best saves on the day when he parried Abdul Bashiru’s long range strike over the goal post.
Wa Allstars stood their ground to earn a point despite the pressure mounted by the home team.
