The Ashanti regional office of the Electoral Commission is planning to extend exhibition of the voter register in the Effigya Sekyere constituency where the record went missing in nine polling centers.
The ten day exercise which began on 1st September to enable prospective voters to check their details and correct any anomaly before the elections, officially ends on Monday, September 10.
Ashanti regional director of the EC Samuel Tetteh told Joynews a proposal for an extension has been sent to the EC headquarters.
Although Mr Tetteh described the exhibition in the region as smooth, he said the challenges identified will guide the region in putting adequate measures in place to ensure an incident free election in the region in December.
