Transport ministers and officials from ECOWAS are meeting in Akosombo to plan the implementation of a West African high speed rail route.
Five countries, led by Ghana, have so far committed to the proposed rail route which will connect them and cut down on the amount of time spent travelling and doing business within the sub region.
Ghana's Transport Minister, Dzifa Attivor who opened the conference expressed satisfaction at the progress made so far in the implementation of the west African high speed rail project.
