EDA Logistics, in partnership with Rubis Asphalt Middle East and ERES Togo, has commissioned a renovated three-unit classroom block and a canteen at the Avornyokope Community Calvary Baptist Basic School in the Domeabra-Obom Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
The project forms part of the company’s commitment to supporting education and promoting inclusive economic growth in Ghana.

The renovated facility is expected to provide a more conducive learning environment for hundreds of pupils, while the canteen will help ensure that children are able to learn without the challenge of hunger.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of EDA Logistics, Eric Dziedzom Akukumah, expressed pride in the company’s role in the initiative.

“We are gathered today not just to mark the commissioning of a renovated classroom, but to celebrate the opening of a new universe of possibilities,” he said.
“This facility is a testament to the power of collaboration and the impact of public-private partnerships in driving transformative change in our communities.”

The ceremony was attended by the Member of Parliament for Domeabra-Obom, Isaac Awuku Yibor, representatives of Rubis Asphalt FZCO and ERES Togo, members of the traditional council, the Domeabra-Obom Director of Education, and other dignitaries.
Mr Akukumah called on the government and other stakeholders to deepen collaboration with the private sector to accelerate national development.

“The success of this project is living proof that when the private sector, organisations, traditional authorities, and government work together, we can achieve extraordinary results,” he added.

EDA Logistics also reaffirmed its readiness to partner with the government on future development projects, stressing that logistics goes beyond the movement of goods to include connecting opportunities, bridging gaps, and delivering hope.
