The Ghanaian is reported to have fully recovered from his illness and is all set to return to action for Los Blancos.
Spanish giants Real Madrid suffered a setback back when they lost their Ghanaian midfielder, Michael Essien, to a ghost injury. Madrid had to initially wait in order to hear about the extent of the problem.
Jose Mourinho brought the former Chelsea midfielder to the Bernabeu and it was seen as a perfect loan move for both the parties, Mourinho and Essien.
Essien encountered a bad allergic reaction to a medicine that was proposed and authenticated by the Real doctor.
The outcome was believed to be pretty horrendous and initial reports suggested that the midfielder could even miss out the entire season, as Real kept sweating.
Later, proper medical analysis depicted that Essien will only miss a few weeks of action and may well return in early January.
Essien however returned to Chelsea in order to get a quick and proper recovery and is now believed to be nearing full fitness.
Essien has returned back to Madrid and it is indicated that he took part in Thursday’s training sessions.
Essien was told to train apart in the morning session and after monitoring his progress, the physicians gave him the thumbs up for joining full training in the evening.
The Ghanaian later joined all his team mates for the evening session of the training programme, as scheduled, and impressed the management.
It is now anticipated that Essien will be back, sooner than expected as he has almost completed his recovery, however it is still unclear that the Ghanaian will be seen fit for selection or not.
Madrid are having to face problems other than their mounting injury crisis as they trail league leaders Barcelona by a massive 11 points.
The Liga standings have even seen them pitted below their local rivals, Atletico Madrid. The Rojiblancos are on current saying, 5 points ahead of their Bernabeu rivals.
The return of Michael Essien will be seen as a nice injury boos for Real’s Portuguese managers as he looks on to launch a feeble title campaign.
