A Goaso circuit court presided over by Mr Charles Quampah, has sentenced a 21-year-old farmer to two years imprisonment for stealing a double barrelled gun and a travelling bag.
Kaakyire Ayaaba pleaded guilty and was sentenced accordingly.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Charles Arthur said, the complainant Emmanuel Ndago and the convict are farmers residing at Ayisesu near Mim in Asunafo North municipality.
Chief Inspector Arthur said on June 1, this year at about 09:00 hours, the complainant and his family attended church service at Mim and Ayaaba took advantage of their absence and broke into their room and made away with the items.
When the complainant returned from church he noticed that someone had broken into his room and after conducting his own investigations suspected Ayaaba.
The Prosecutor said the complainant made a report to the police and Ayaaba was traced and arrested at his hideout at Nboseaase near Nkaseim.
