The first batch of Ghanaian Muslims who embarked on the holy pilgrimage to Mecca has returned home. Two hundred and sixty eight pilgrims were on board the Egypt Air flight that touched down this dawn. Another one thousand nine hundred pilgrims are expected back home in the next few days. Lands and Natural Resources Minister Alhaji Collins Dauda led the government team that met the pilgrims on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport. Some of the pilgrims who shared their impressions with Joy News said they were able to perform all rituals. Meanwhile the Director of Operations for the Hajj Board Alhaji Amadu Sorogo has told Joy News the organisation of the pilgrimage will be reviewed to enhance future trips. He said the problems encountered in this year’s hajj will guide future preparations for ritual. Source: Joy News/Ghana
