The accused persons, Felix Nana Danquah, Isaac Okai, also known as Dubai, Edward Baah, alias Missed Call, Maxwell Kwasi Antwi, popularly called Ozil, and Richmond Yeboah, known as Star Boy, were arrested from their various hideouts and arraigned before the Kade District Court on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
They were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, to wit assault, and assault. All five pleaded guilty to the charges and were accordingly convicted by the court on their own plea.
However, sentencing was deferred, and the court ordered that the convicted persons be remanded into prison custody. They are expected to reappear before the court on January 20, 2026, for sentencing.
In a statement following the court proceedings, the police cautioned the general public, particularly the youth, to desist from engaging in violent attacks, whether willingly or through external motivation, stressing that such actions constitute criminal offences.
The police further assured the public of their continued commitment to protecting lives and property and maintaining law and order.
