Argentinos Juniors midfielder Gaspar Iniguez has lost three teeth while making a head-first tackle at the feet of Boca Juniors' Cristian Erbes, the club has confirmed.
Iniguez dived to head the ball when it was barely a few centimetres off the ground, believing he could get there before Erbes two minutes from the end of the 0-0 draw in the Argentine "Inicial" championship on Sunday.
Injuries
Erbes went to kick the ball as Iniguez made his dive and it caught the 19 year old in the mouth. Erbes also suffered a minor injury to his leg.
Iniguez joined the first team in July 2011. He made his team debut during the 2011/12 season. He plays as a central midfielder.
