The Eastern Regional Coordinating Director, Abdulai Zakari who was found dead in his room has been laid to rest at Tafo cemetery in Kumasi, Friday in accordance with Islamic norm.
It followed a brief pre-burial service at his private residence at Ahodwo led by the Chief Imam of Atebubu Amanteng District, Alhaji Awudu M-Saani.
Alhaji M-Saani who is also the family head, was full of appreciation to the staff of the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council and the delegation led by the Deputy Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong who for standing in their stead when the incident occurred.

The late Zakari was found unconscious on his bed at his official residence in Koforidua on Thursday September 18, 2014. He was rushed to the Government Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
He was also a former Metropolitan Coordinating Director for Sekondi-Takoradi.
He was 57 years.
The late Abdulai Zakari is survived by a wife, Madam Alima Abukari and seven children.
