The Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation (GABF), as part of its medium term development plan, would organize a ten-day workshop for boxing coaches, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The workshop fixed for March 8-18, is in partnership with the Germany Olympic Committee (GOC) following an initiative of Ambassador Ray Quarcoo, president of the GABF, with funding from Federal Foreign Office.
Dominic Kankam, General Secretary GABF, in a statement said, the workshop would also build a strong bilateral sports corporation between the two countries.
According to Kankam, all boxing coaches with level two certificates or its equivalent are qualified to participate in the workshop, which would be under the supervision of German Sports expert Christian Morales.
He said, the workshop would focus on modern coaching methods/techniques, conditioning, health and nutrition.
Kankam, said coaches interested in participating in the workshop are to pick registration forms at the secretariat of GABF.
Ambassador Quarcoo told the GNA Sports that, the exercise forms part of the Federation’s plans to form a formidable team for future international outings.
He said it would also improve the skills of coaches with regards to their tactical and technical approach as well as provide them international exposure.
Ambassador Quarcoo, noted that, the workshop is the maiden programme adding that he had been engaging in discussions with other international partners for further collaboration in sports.
