The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended its condolences to Young Madrid FC and the family of Ignatius Bosompem, who tragically died after collapsing during a Division Two League match against Naajo Royals FC over the weekend.
The GFA President, Executive Council, and General Secretary, alongside the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA), have expressed solidarity with the football community in mourning the loss of the young talent in a statement.
The association emphasized its support for Bosompem’s family, Young Madrid FC, and the WRFA during this difficult period.
Following the incident, the GFA said it has maintained close contact with WRFA leadership to provide necessary support and assistance to those affected.
The association praised the WRFA for its efforts in managing the aftermath and ensuring the family receives care and guidance.
The GFA called on the football fraternity to keep Bosompem’s family, teammates, and all affected in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this painful loss.
