Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi has quashed media reports suggesting Avram Grant will not the Black Stars to the upcoming 2017 African Cup of Nations.
The Israeli's job has been in doubt following a string of poor results which has seen the team lose ground in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
And there were reports by the local media he would be replaced before the tournament in Gabon with former Cameroon assistant manager Ibrahim Tanko and Maxwell Konadu tipped to hold the fort.
But Mr. Nyantakyi has dispelled all that and confirmed the former Chelsea manager will be in charge.
''We have not discussed at any meeting to replace Avram Grant. Maybe be it would be done in the future, but at the moment our focus is on the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon,'' Nyantakyi told members of the Ghana FA Congress on Monday.
''We have to plan well and ensure we present the best of players available. I said at WAFU recently that Ghana is going for the 2017 AFCON because Nigeria won it in 2013, while Ivory Coast did it in 2015, so 2017 is the turn of Ghana-These are the three power houses in West African football.''
Ghana has been drawn in the same group as Egypt, Mali and Uganda for the 2017 AFCON.
