Strategic Communications Africa Ltd. (Stratcomm Africa) is delighted to announce the 13th edition of the Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS), taking place from September 20–28th at the Efua Sutherland Children's Park, Accra.
This year’s Show, themed “Urban Places, Green Spaces”, shines a spotlight on the urgent need to reimagine Ghana’s urban environments as vibrant ecosystems of sustainability, wellness, and opportunity.
As cities face growing climate pressures, the theme underscores the role of green infrastructure in creating healthier and more resilient urban spaces.
The inspiration for this year’s direction builds on powerful insights shared by Charles Abani, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ghana and keynote speaker at GGFS 2024, who emphasised the importance of embedding sustainability into urban planning policies.
His message resounded with the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement (GGFM) and has helped shape this year's vision: a Ghana where concrete jungles give way to green sanctuaries that nourish both people and the planet.
Over nine dynamic days, GGFS 2025 will gather local and international exhibitors, floriculture and horticulture industry leaders, real estate developers, entrepreneurs, families, students, and policy makers for an immersive experience blending innovation, inspiration, and education.
From cutting-edge green technologies to creative landscaping and sustainable urban solutions, the Show offers a comprehensive showcase of how greening Ghana’s cities can drive environmental and economic transformation.
What to Expect at GGFS 2025
- Daily Exhibitions of floriculture, horticulture, and eco-friendly innovations
- Green to Riches Conference exploring green entrepreneurship and policy (with a focus on the youth)
- Masterclasses & Demonstrations for practical learning and skill-building
- Children’s activities under the Little Green Fingers programme
- Evening events include Music Night, Drama Night, and the Fashion in Bloom Show
Speaking on the importance of the event, Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, CEO of Stratcomm Africa and Convener of the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement, said:
“In the face of global challenges with Climate Change, the transformation of our urban environment is not optional - it is an urgent necessity.
"This Show is not just an event: it remains a Movement. One that recognises green spaces as essential to how we live, work and thrive. We must be intentional about reclaiming our cities for both people and plants.”
She added, "We invite individuals, organisations, development partners, corporate bodies, and educational institutions to be part of GGFS 2025, as exhibitors, sponsors, partners, or visitors.
"Let us work together to turn our cities into thriving centres of health, innovation, beauty and shared prosperity.”
Stratcomm Africa calls on government agencies, civil society, academic institutions, and the private sector to join this transformative event and contribute to building a greener, cleaner, healthier, wealthier, and more resilient Ghana.
