Ghana produced a fabulous second half display to come from two goals down to beat Tunisia 4-2 in a friendly game on Sunday.
The Black Stars found themselves two goals down by halftime with striker Issam Jemaa hitting a brace for the Carthage Eagles in the friendly game played in Abu Dhabi ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars who were for most parts of the first half on the back foot and aimless upfront came into their own to launch one of the memorable comebacks in Ghana football.
First with John Boye connecting beautifully a well flighted free kick from Mubarak Wakaso to bring the scores to 2-1.
Wakaso blasted in the equalizer from a spot kick moments later after Christian Atsu was brought down in the box on one of his skillful surging runs.
Asamoah Gyan then came off the bench to edge the Black Stars into the lead with fellow substitute Albert Adomah wrapping up the memorable win with the fourth goal late in the game.
It was a game of two halfs where the substitution of Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah proved to be more effective in the end.
The Black Stars will now travel to South Africa on Wednesday haven won all two of their warm up games ahead of this month’s Nations Cup.
Ghana will open its campaign against DR Congo on January 20 before facing Mali and Niger in the subsequent Group B games.
The Black Stars hope to end Ghana’s 31-year wait for an African title this term in South Africa.
