H.E. Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, is determined not to be an armchair diplomat.
Her vision is to bring the work of the High Commission directly to the people, ensuring that leadership is accessible and responsive.
Over the weekend, she visited two churches in Birmingham — The Church of Pentecost, UK PIWC Birmingham, and Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries International.
During these visits, she engaged with members of the Ghanaian community, listened to their concerns, and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to inclusivity.
Speaking on the visits, the High Commissioner emphasized that effective diplomacy begins with strong community connections.
“We believe leadership is most impactful when it is grounded in direct engagement with the people we serve,” she said.
The visits highlight a new approach to diplomacy by the Ghana High Commission in the UK, focusing on community outreach as a key part of fostering trust, understanding, and collaboration between Ghanaians abroad and their government.
