Asante Kotoko began their title defence with a come-from-behind 2-1 win against Aduana at the Coronation Park; Hearts sparked their title agenda with a 2-0 win at Edubiase at the Gyamfi Park.

otoko, serving the final of a three-match home ban from the previous campaign were stunned by the visitors when Daniel Darkwah opening the scoring just before half-time.
Back from the break, Didi Dramani's side showed their determination to level the scoring.
Jordan Opoku, returning for a second stint with Kotoko after a season with Berekum Chelsea equalised for the Porcupine Warriors before Seidu Bancey put them ahead when he scored the second goal which proved to be the winner.
The win will be a major boost for Kotoko, who travel to Accra on Sunday to meet rivals, Hearts of Oak on match-day-2 at the Ohene Djan Stadium

The Phobian's new signing Emmanuel Hayford scored both goals for David Duncan's side.
Both goals were scored in the second half with Hayford opening the scoring from a free kick before striking a shot from behind the penalty arc to double his side's lead.
