Information reaching Joy News indicates that one person has been shot dead whilst four others are in critical condition following a gun battle at Sota, a community near Dodowa in Accra.The five, said to be a team of surveyors who were assessing some plots of disputed land purchased by an estate developer, were allegedly attacked by land guards.Eye witnesses say that one of the rival factions in the land dispute launched a full scale assault whilst the surveyors worked Tuesday night.
The District Police Commander for Dodowa, Superintendent Moses Alhassan Segu confirmed the incident to Joy News but was unsure whether or not the victims were attacked by land guards.He says his men mounted an overnight surveillance of the area and begun a such for suspects.
