Board member of Hearts of Oak Thomas Esso has vehemently denied media reports suggesting veteran midfielder Don Bortey has been told he will not be signed for the upcoming season, insisting no decision has been taken on Bortey.
Bortey has been training with the club with the hope of landing a contract but reports emanated yesterday that Bortey has been asked to stay away from the team.
‘’I don’t know where this rumors is coming from because for some time now since Odotei has been involved in his campaign through the elections we have not held any serious meeting to discuss Hearts of Oak even we are able to handle day to day activity’’ Esso said.
‘’In any case if Don Bortey will be part of the team will depend of recommendation of technical team (assistant coach and his colleagues)’’
