The Acting High Commissioner of Ghana in South Africa has asked the Black Stars to beat Zambia on Saturday to prove that their emphatic win over Lesotho was no fluke. Sylvester Parker-Allotey spoke to the Black Stars players when he visited them in training in Johannesburg on Sunday. The Black Stars are in South Africa to prepare for their 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Chipolopolo having thrashed Lesotho 7-0 in their opening Group D in Kumasi on Friday while the African champions Zambia lost 2-0 in the group's other game. Parker-Allotey watched the training session of the Black Stars before he interacted with the players and advised them not to be complacent. "You really made the country proud by the emphatic result against Lesotho on Friday but this is only the beginning of the qualifiers," the acting High Commissioner who was accompanied by his wife said. "The result means that your next opponents Zambia are aware of what you can do so they will come fully prepared - especially when they are playing at home for the first time since they won the Africa Cup of Nations title. "I urge you to concentrate fully on the task ahead on Saturday and from the training I have seen I know you will make us proud once again." Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi thanked Mr. Parker-Allotey for the visit and assured him that everything has been done to ensure that the Black Stars are in good shape for Saturday's game. The Black Stars will stay in Johannesburg until Thursday when they fly to Ndola where the match against Zambia will be played.
