Ghanaian artiste J.Derobie has opened up about the pressure to release hit music consistently.
In a conversation on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, J.Derobie acknowledged the importance of consistency in music business.
"It's consistency. Consistency brings you to that level, consistency will take you and, people are impatient when it come and it hits there. They want more," he said.
J.Derobie also emphasised that hit songs can not be manufactured, but rather they are blessings from God.Â
"Hit songs are blessings from God. And mostly you don't even know when [you will have them]. Sometimes you don't know which song is going to be there. But you can feel it," he explained.
He noted that while an artiste can structure a song to have the potential to be a hit, ultimately, its success depends on factors beyond their control.
"So as for hit songs, you can structure the song, the song on path, but for it to make it depends," he stated.
J.Derobie encouraged artistes to focus on being consistent and producing good music, rather than worrying about whether a particular song will be a hit.Â
"So it's just consistency. When you are being consistent, definitely one will be a hit and there is nothing like this song is not good. This song is not nice. There is nothing like nice song," he concluded.
In the meantime, he’s dropped Waves Two and hopes to drop Waves Three this year as, well as he release more tracks in series.
J.Derobie's determination and passion for his craft are evident, and he continues to work hard to achieve his goals.
