A total of one thousand three hundred (1,300) youth who undertook training under the ICT Module of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) have been presented with set of start-up tools at a ceremony in Accra.
The tools include a rework stations, digital multimeters, screw drivers, and other gadgets.
Additionally, each beneficiary will receive a kiosk specifically designed for sale and servicing of ICT devices.
In a speech read for him, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo thanked government for living up to a promise to equip the youth economically.
He said the programme will be sustained until many unemployed youth have benefitted.
The Greater Accra Regional Director of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA), Solomon Afutu warned against sale and misuse of the equipment.
He commended the Rlg institute of technology for being a worthy partner in the implementation of the module.
Similar events are expected to be held in all ten regions.
