The Inspector General of Police, Patrick Acheampong has directed the Police Service to investigate media reports of alleged serial killings in Suhum in the Eastern Region.
At least four people are reported to have been killed under mysterious circumstances since last year.
Even though the District Chief Executive had denied the media reports of serial murders in the town, the Heritage newspaper reported on Monday that a fourth person, a 35-year-old man was killed in the early hours of Sunday around the Suhum Secondary/Technical school.
According to the report, Kwabena Sarfo’s bruised body was found lying in a drain at dawn. He had attended a funeral on Saturday but failed to returm home.
