The Assemblyman for Suhum New Town Electoral Area, Solomon Akornoor, has appealed to the Inspector General of Police to assist in combating murders going on at Suhum New Town and the Suhum roundabout.
Mr Akornoor said that if immediate measures are not taken, people would be forced to flee their homes as fear has gripped them.
He said two people were murdered within one month and two escaped with injuries when attempts were made to murder them.
The two persons who were almost killed are on admission at the Suhum Government Hospital.
They are Kwame Yeboah, 38 year, a loading boy at the Accra-Suhum lorry station and Chares Ayeh, 36.
Mr Akornoor said reports were made to the police but no arrest has been made.
He said on November 19 last year the body of a middle age woman suspected to have been killed was found floating in River Aponeapono at Suhum New Town and on January 5 this year, a young man was murdered at the New Town at Presbyterian Primary School and his body was dragged to the outskirts of the town.
The body of the deceased was later identified as Abrekuma, a farm labourer.
Mr Akornoor alleged that the serial killers often use a white private car with no registration number and operate in the night with one lady always at the front seat of the car.
When the police at Suhum was contacted, a spokesman of the police confirmed the story and appealed to the public to assist the police to arrest them.
He appealed to the communities to form neighbour hood watchdog committees
